Coatlicue is the Aztec goddess of the moon and stars, as well as Huitzilopotchtli, god of war. This character I designed based on the famous statue uncovered in the Great Temple in Mexico City. It is one of several I have designed based on the conquest of the Americas by Spain, and includes fantasy versions of gods, conquistadors, ships, etc. This was designed with Maya, Zbrush, rendered in Zbrush.
